I can't believe the year is almost over.

It's hard to believe that another year is almost over. I just added a song to my playlist (Stop this train) and it is so true....time keeps passing bye faster and faster. Brad will be in CA this year and Jenna and Trav are staying home. Maria is spending Christmas eve in Pittsburgh, but hopefully will join us at my mom's on Christmas day. Here is a pic of my tree from the past couple years...but this year I am only putting up 2 tabletop trees.

Vegas Baby!

Just returned from Las Vegas yesterday and it was really nice to have 4 of my 5 children together. Also nice to see Travis, Riley, and Isabelle as well as Brad's fiance, Kim. We did a little shopping, some sightseeing on the strip, some eating, and a lot of playing with Riley and Issy. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Southpoint Casino next door to where we stayed at The Grandview. It was not even close to having dinner at home. I have some pics posted of Izzy and Riley. We saw a botanical display at the Bellagio and Riley was afraid of the tree with the eyes that also spoke! That is why she is covering her eyes in the photo.

Angels

The Brookville Hospital Auxiliary is decorating a tree again this year for the Victorian Christmas Christmas Tree Lane...this year to be held at the Presbyterian church (1st weekend in Dec). Our theme is Nature's Angles and our tree will have white lights and angels we have made. I made 20 angels from scallop sea shells, Gretchen made angels with bleached muslin and moss, and two others made angels from pine cones and from wheat sheaths. We will then sell the ornaments and use the money to help our redecorating of the family waiting rooms at the hospital. Alyce has driven down to Washington and Jefferson College this weekend to visit Danielle. She said the trip down was pretty good (about 140 miles) and she had no problem finding it. That's good since that is where she will be going to school next fall.

Change in Plans

Due to scheduling and other conflicts, Brad and Kim have changed their temple sealing to Saturday, January 3 at the Vegas temple. But we will still be spending Thanksgiving there since our plans were already made and Travis and Jenna said they needed the vacation. I guess we all could use one.
I have posted a couple other senior pics of Alyce. The studio messed up our order, so we just got some additional photos that they didn't give us the first time. Jenna, remind me to bring her pictures to Vegas for you, Brad and your father.
I just ordered an Edenpure heater for the house. I know several people that have them and I believe that it will save me on heating bills. I will let you know. My mom has one and she loves it.

Getting ready for Vegas!

I would like to thank Jenna for bribing Alyce with a one hour massage to get her to go to Vegas. I have made the flight reservation so she can't back out. HeHeHe. Tomorrow is voting day, so everyone get out and make your vote count.

Trip to Sharon

I took a ride to Sharon this morning for a visit with my mom . I took her out to lunch for her birthday which was October 14th. It's hard to believe she is 80 years old, you would never know it. Gregg and Alex joined us and we had a good visit. We talked about Kaden, Freelife, and how Aunt Val is doing after her back surgery (doing well) and her upcoming gall bladder surgery, hopefully within a couple weeks.

Wasted Day...maybe not

Well....I was supposed to be doing laundry and house cleaning and have spent more time setting up this blogspot. I am probably better at posting pics, because I hate to write...I am just not that creative. Homecoming was a couple weekends ago and Alyce was on the court. Katie Ferry was crowned queen but I think they all had a lot of fun. ***See newspaper clip below***

Alyce also received acceptance letters from Clarion University and Washington and Jefferson (her first choice). Of course now she wants to quit HS since she has been accepted. I told her it didn't quite work that way. District soccer playoffs begin this week and Brookville plays Ridgway on wednesday. They should be victorious and then who knows...at least 2 more games to get to district championship game.

I have arrived!

Just for you, Jenna! I can't guarantee that I will write often, but I will try to write occasionally.
